Weddings and website news....

Hello. This month I'm splitting this post into sections....basically it's to stop me from waffling on!

Website....

After my last rather panicky based post about me not having a website, I've come back a little more relaxed, basking in the warm afterglow of having a new website up a running.

Yes, I did it myself. I've tried to concentrate on keeping it clean, simple and straightforward and to really let the pictures speak for themselves. It's a typical no bull sh*t approach as to who I am and what I do. The rest is backed up by the pictures. Once again, I found myself getting lost in other people's websites, worried about how I might present myself, what people might think and where I come in the search processes. And then, all of a sudden, I stopped worrying so much as I realised that my website is merely somewhere for people to visit to look to see initially if they like the pictures. I could write as much rubbish on there as I want to, but at the end of the day it's the pictures that do all the talking. I like it and I sincerely hope you do too.

Oh...by the way....you can find it here...http://www.super70photography.com

Photography news and stuff....

It's been a funny old couple of months. Very enjoyable and very busy. I've completed a few weddings recently that have all been rather good fun and I feel that I live and breathe a wedding a little more than I used to...even down to getting a bit fussy about what type of hangar a wedding dress is hanging form for the 'wedding dress' picture....please....do invest in a nice hangar...don't take a plastic one to hang your beautiful dress from. I've been shooting mainly in Norfolk but did have a fantastic time in France for 3 days a few months ago for a delightful Chateaux wedding (I'm still finding that difficult to spell!!!). That was just a blast! There are pictures from this wedding on my website purely for the sheer delight of your eyes!

I'd also been invited to display my sunset and sunrise pictures that I'd shot in Cromer in a Cromer based hotel. This was quite interesting as all pictures had to be printed and framed before being delivered to be hung proudly on the walls of the hotel. I haven't been to see them yet but I am assured that they look lovely.

And over the last few days, I've learned a new skill which hopefully might add a little pizazz to certain aspects of my shots at weddings. I won't go into detail but I'll post some pics form my next wedding to show you (sorry next wedding....you're my experiment!). I'd seen some other shooters using this particular trick and it took me a little while to figure out how to actually get the effect. I've been practising on my poor family and I think i've figured it out. How exciting!!!!!!

In other news, there isn't any other news. I've a few wedding left to do this year and have some booked already for next year which is exciting....I might see if I can do a couple of shows next year, but that might just not materialise as word of mouth is working just fine at the moment. Thank you to all who are spreading the good word!!!!
